The phenomenon of spiritual crisis and emergency within Christian women.
The three themes explored:
First was the personal growth processes these Christian women engaged in which led to metaphysical/ spiritual or mystical experiences;
Second their ability to integrate these experiences into their lives or their lived experience;
Third the counseling needs of these women following their spiritual emergencies related to mental health.
Persons who have these experiences have no frame of reference in which to understand, assimilate, and integrate them into their lives. In addition, due to a limited understanding by medical professionals, dramatic energetic experiences may be misinterpreted as pathological.
